Special Topics in Cultural Studies: Occult Correspondences

Catalog description

This course puts media, cultural, and literary theory into correspondence with esoteric, occult, and alchemical symbols and traditions. Topics include: magic and mimesis, crystal poetics, anomalous phenomena, reverie and imagination, hermeneutics of the symbol, divinatory technologies, and postcolonial astrology.
