Catalog description

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to data analysis using Python and R. Students will not only learn the fundamentals of coding but also develop skills in basic statistical analysis, data visualization, data management, and machine learning. Lab sessions will be designed to reinforce the concepts learned through hands-on practice. No coding experience is required. For graduate students, the course places additional emphasis on applying computational techniques and relevant software to analyze biological data, particularly in genomics. Graduate students will also engage in the development of a final project of their choice.
