Analysis of geologic-structures--theory and practice. Rock deformation as a function of crustal environment. Fault mechanics and earthquakes; mineral deformation mechanisms; microstructures, and tectonite fabrics. Finite strain measurement and interpretation of kinematic indicators. Regional structural styles. Includes one to two field trip(s) lasting 1-4 days.
