Field-based study of igneous, metamorphic and tectonic processes. Investigates different topics in igneous and metamorphic petrology each year, centered around field trips to key localities. Includes lectures, review of scientific literature, on-campus labs and field-based observations and measurements. The field trip for this course ranges from 4-18 days long and varies each offering.
