Open-Level Modern

Catalog description

This course teaches modern dance technique focusing on the concepts of movement generation, alignment of the body for optimal performance of class material, analysis of the moving body and training in specific modern dance techniques to strengthen the dancer's ability to perform various modern dance modalities. This course is intended for dancers training at an advanced level. Attention will be paid to artistry, musicality, skill attainment and how to process ideas about embodiment.
