Catalog description

Explores the nature, role and influence of globalization and technology on communication and international relations. To do so we examine how these impact the media, the audience and policy makers. We begin by considering the context in which this communication occurs and how this has changed over time. Next, we examine how these communication changes have altered the conduct and understanding of international relations as well as the actors in the making of policy and explore public diplomacy by states and citizen diplomacy. Finally, we conclude by considering the implications of current trends in global communication for global relations.
