Catalog description
Examines the scientific understanding of individuals' and communities' experiences of uncertainty both acute and chronic. This analysis includes an examination of the ways that we respond to uncertainty and of the impacts, both positive and negative, that uncertainty produces. For the primary assignment, students are charged with exploring the experiences of uncertainty for either (a) a particular community of interest or (b) a relational partner or family member for whom such an analysis would be particularly valuable.
