Catalog description

A focus on contemporary representations of exile and displacement, and exiled authors and thinkers from Latin America and Europe. Primary sources include texts about European exiles in the Americas, Latin American exiles in Europe, and the turn from exile to migrant literature in the Americas. We also look to how contemporary authors adapt early exile motifs and respond to literary forerunners by including issues of gender, labor, racism, sexuality, and more.
