Catalog description
Designed to demonstrate how theatre can be used to address social issues as it explores the role that theatre with a social perspective has played in the history of world theatre. The class will use real-life controversy - one relevant to this community - as a base. Students will do substantial research on a chosen topic/issue and then use that information to write and perform a play. Two hours of lecture. Two hours of laboratory.
