Catalog description

Examines theories, discourse, and research of social problems/issues through the lens of popular culture. Uses a combination of academic readings within the various disciplines that make up the Social Science Program to examine how popular culture is shaped by and shapes our views about social science topics. Provides understanding of social problems, social justice, and cultures by applying interdisciplinary perspectives to the ways that popular culture portrays these issues.
