Catalog description

Applies knowledge of articulation and phonological processes to the assessment and intervention of individuals with organic and/or functional speech sound disorders across the lifespan. Covers theoretical constructs relevant to how we conceptualize articulation and phonology, explores prevention and assessment procedures, and reviews current evidence-based intervention approaches. Content will include developmental and acquired disorders of articulation and phonology, in addition to developmental and acquired motor speech disorders. Prerequisite(s): SLP 391 with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
