Focuses on the emergence, evolution, varieties, underlying causes, and responses to genocide and other crimes against humanity. Covers the emergence of genocide and the subsequent conceptualization of this phenomenon, the evolution of genocide through historical case studies, and the emergence of new human rights standards that have arisen in response to these crimes against humanity.
