Catalog description

Introduction to the design and measurement techniques of modern electronics. Includes AC circuit theory, passive filters, semiconductor diodes, transistors, operational amplifiers, including active filters, and a general introduction to digital circuits. The activities provide students with an opportunity for hands-on experience with a wide range of electronic circuits. Two hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. Prerequisite(s): ( EE 120 and PHYS 201 ) or (EE 100 and PHYS 201 ) or PHYS 202 or PHYS 206 with a C (2.0) or better.
