Catalog description
Operations management approach to quality management and performance excellence. Foundations of quality management; tools and techniques to support design, control, and improvement of quality; and organizational view of performance excellence. History of quality management, quality management systems, quality and customer, quality and workforce, quality and process, quality and supply chain management, statistical methods in quality management, design for quality, quality measurement and control, lean six sigma, and frameworks for performance excellence are discussed. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: OM 484-3. Prerequisite(s): BUS 204 or BUS 304 , and either OM 302 or OM 305 with grades of C (2.0) or better in each.
