Explores the healthcare technology infrastructure. Critiques informatics processes and healthcare information technologies used to manage and improve the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient healthcare in accordance with best practice, professional and regulatory standards. Analyzes internal and external system processes and structures that perpetuate structural racism and other forms of discrimination in healthcare systems. Evaluates the consequences of information and communication technologies on interprofessional care processes, communications, and information flow across care settings. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Prerequisite(s): NURS 534A or NURS 534B .
