Development of skills in motivational interviewing and the establishment of a therapeutic alliance with patients with psychiatric disorders. Involves performing components of a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and interpretation of assessment findings. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Master of Science in Nursing program. Prerequisite(s): NURS 580 and NURS 584 .
