Catalog description

Studies the management of psychiatric and mental healthcare of the client affected by substance abuse/addiction. Explores issues and pathologies common to addiction. Emphasizes the unique needs of the patients in this population with focus on theories, research, and strategies for treatment to promote wellness. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Prerequisite(s): NURS 534B .
