Catalog description

Clinical practicum focuses on the role of the advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse in the management of individuals, groups, and families with complex mental health needs across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on vulnerable populations and the impact of social determinants on mental health. The minimum requirement for this practicum is 180 hours. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Master of Science in Nursing Program. Prerequisite(s): NURS 535C . Corequisite(s): NURS 538 .
