Catalog description

Introduction to and practice of common skills and procedures used in the clinical patient office setting by the Advanced Practice Nurse. Includes identification of common diseases and disorders and the appropriate intervention by the Family Nurse Practitioner. Special emphasis is placed on patient consent, safety and efficacy in practice, and procedural skills used in patient care. Grading Basis: Graded Credit / No Credit. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment limited to students admitted to FNP track in the School of Nursing. Prerequisite(s): NURS 530 .
