Catalog description
Introduction to the components of health assessment, therapeutic communication, and interview techniques with an emphasis on cultural and community variables. Introduces the student to the role of the nurse as teacher and health promoter. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 160 , BIOL 175 , BIOL 176 , CHEM 105 , and CHEM 105L , each with a minimum grade of C (2.0). Corequisite(s): NURS 200 , NURS 201 , and NURS 211 .
