Catalog description

A survey, in English, of literary works originally written in Spanish or Portuguese. Works selected for their cultural, historical, and/or literary significance. Includes exploration of how literature can reflect (or distort) culture. Special emphasis on the works of marginalized authors (women, indigenous writers, etc.). Conducted in English. Knowledge of Spanish/Portuguese not required. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: SPAN 370. Satisfies GE area: UD3
