Catalog description

Studies the processes of marketing: identifying and satisfying customers’ needs for products, services and ideas, and simultaneously creating and delivering a standard of living to society. Examines the components of the marketing process, sources and uses of marketing intelligence, consumer behavior and international marketing. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: MKTG 305 . If a student takes both MKTG 302 and MKTG 305, only MKTG 305 will count for credit. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have completed all lower-division pre-business core (major status in Business Administration – i.e. attained business status), Computer Science majors in the Computer Information Systems option, and Biotechnology majors or Marketing minors. Prerequisite(s): Prerequisites for BIOT students: ( ACCT 201 and ACCT 202 ) or ACCT 203 ; and ( MATH 132 or MATH 150 ), with grades of C (2.0) or better in all courses. Prerequisites for CIS students:​ ( ACCT 201 and ACCT 202 ) or ACCT 203 ; ECON 201 , ECON 202 , and MATH 160 , with grades of C (2.0) or better in all courses.
