Media Studies Internship

Catalog description

Provides students with opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world experience through media-related work activities in private and public enterprises. Students complement classroom and laboratory learning with that of the work world. Internships may be paid or unpaid. Students majoring in MDIA strongly advised to enroll in MDIA 495 (not COMM 495). Recommended Preparation: COMM 355 or MDIA 301 or MDIA 304 . May be repeated for credit for a total of six (6) units toward the MDIA major in any combination from MDIA 495 and MDIA 499A , MDIA 499B , MDIA 499C . Cross-listed: MDIA 495 and COMM 495 are cross-listed. Students may not receive credit for both. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to Communication or Media Studies majors who have been placed in an internship. Prerequisite(s): COMM 100 .
