Catalog description
Designed to reinforce mathematical concepts for those teaching in grades K-8. Emphasis on patterns and functional relationships; geometric concepts in two- and three-dimensional space: points, lines, planes, curves, triangles, convex figures, parallelism, congruence, similarity, symmetry, perimeter, area, and volume; problem-solving strategies; appropriate use of technology; and historical/cultural perspectives. Credit may not be counted toward the mathematics major. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have completed the Entry-Level Mathematics (ELM) requirement. Prerequisite(s): MATH 210 with a grade of C (2.0) or better. Satisfies GE area: 2
