Covers various genres and/or forms of fiction. Uses close reading to explore literary techniques, aesthetic concerns, genre, as well as diverse historical and cultural contexts. May be repeated as course content changes; contact the department if requesting repeat credit. Up to nine (9) units may be applied to graduation requirements, but only six (6) units may be applied toward major requirements in Literature and Writing Studies. Satisfies GE area: UD3
