Catalog description

Introduces the role of theory and criticism in the study of literature. Surveys theory traditions from before the 20th century that inform the study of literature, and covers critical practices in reading and applying theory to literary contexts. Enrollment Requirement(s): Completion of the lower-division General Education requirement in Critical Thinking. Prerequisite(s): GEW 101B and either LTWR 100 , LTWR 208A , LTWR 208B or LTWR 210 .
