Catalog description

Introduces phonetic properties of speech sounds and their organization into sound systems. Focuses on practice in recognizing, transcribing, and describing sounds, as well as on applying basic principles and methods of phonological analysis and theory to linguistic data. Prerequisite(s): LING 101 or LING 300 .
