Catalog description

Introduces the practice of syntactic description through surveying a representative sample of syntactic phenomena in the world’s languages. Focuses on various languages of Asia, Europe, and the Pacific, along with some attention to the indigenous languages of Australia, Africa, and the Americas. Recommended Preparation: LING 101 or LING 200 . Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students with Junior or Senior standing.
