Catalog description

Explores the impact technology has on our everyday life. The goal is to understand the complex, hidden relationships between science, technology, and culture. Examines how perceived problems in the world are viewed by particular disciplines. Each perspective provides a particular characterization of the problem, which (a) shapes the kinds of solutions, and (b) directs the kinds of technology that can be used to solve the problem. The application of technology then alters how the problem is viewed and re-interpreted. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students with Junior or Senior standing. Satisfies GE area: UD4
