Catalog description

Explores the effects of mindfulness on the brain, and the benefits of mindfulness in K-8 classrooms, to support future teachers in the incorporation of mindfulness in their own teaching practice. Identifies self-care techniques to mitigate stress and emotional burnout. Covers a range of mindfulness practices appropriate for grades K-8, and ways to introduce mindfulness to students, parents, and colleagues. Provides skills for teaching careers, and for other professional pathways focused on this age group (e.g., therapeutic/social work settings).
