Catalog description

Explores the interconnectedness of nutrition, health, food systems and communities within the United States. Covers nutrition policy and regulations focused on the U.S. food system as well as how policy influences local food environments, food and nutrition security, and community healthy eating behaviors. Also looks at how structural racial and ethnic inequalities affect health disparities, and discusses community-informed solutions to address food justice. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 104 or KINE 203 .
