Catalog description

Introduces the definition, health consequences, prevalence, risk factors, and management and treatment strategies of weight issues leading to clinical and subclinical disorders eating behaviors in sport. Discusses healthy weight management practices for athletes. Reviews current peer-reviewed research on topics related to athlete eating disorders, disordered eating, and the Female Athlete Triad. Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): BIOL 104 ; or KINE 203 and KINE 206 .
