Nutrition and Chronic Disease in Kinesiology

Catalog description

Teaches the fundamental principles that link diet with health and disease. Provides an in-depth study of the physiology of human nutrition and their functional relationships to the prevention and treatment of human disease. Includes symptoms and effects of disease associated with inadequate nutrition, nutritional contributions to disease, and contributions of nutrition to disease treatments. Provides understanding of how physical activity integrates with the nutrition and disease interaction. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: KINE 390-10. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 104 or KINE 203 .
