Explores European history between the 11th through 15th centuries. Focuses on major social, economic, cultural, and political changes over time. Includes feudalism, church reform, popular religion and movements of dissent, the 12th-century Renaissance, the crusades, the formation of medieval kingdoms and city-states, and artistic and cultural patterns in the high and late middle ages.
