Catalog description

Covers major concepts in biological sciences, emphasizing their application to real-world problems. Consists of integrated modules covering the areas of molecules, living systems, and environment. Includes the properties of molecules, principles of genetics, structure and function of living organisms, evolution, and interactions of organisms with each other and their environment. Includes practical experience in the application of the scientific method through laboratory activities. Three hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. A field trip outside of regular course hours may be required. Satisfies GE area: 5B, 5C
