Catalog description

Covers basic circuit principles, laws, and analysis methods, including steady-state and transient responses of passive circuits, with independent and dependent sources. Operational amplifiers are covered as examples of active electronic circuits. Computer-aided analysis and simulation tools are presented as methods to augment network analysis and design. Extends network analysis principles including ac sources, transformers, and polyphase networks. Two hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. Prerequisite(s): ( EE 120 and PHYS 201 ) or (EE 100 and PHYS 201 ) or PHYS 202 or PHYS 206 with a C (2.0) or better.
