Catalog description
Explores cultural and linguistic diversity as critical variables in educational equity for all students. Includes intensive theoretical and practical articulation of culture and cultural pluralism; educational issues of race, class, gender, language, ethnicity, sexual orientation and exceptionality; social, structural, programmatic and curricular issues; and effective teaching for diverse populations. Service Learning course. Enrollment Requirement(s): Minimum of fifteen (15) hours of fieldwork in K-12 educational settings required. Certificate of clearance and TB risk assessment required.
