Catalog description

Provides skills that are necessary to formulate, estimate, and interpret testable relationships between variables specified by economic theory. Focuses primarily on linear regression analysis. Assumptions of the model and the consequences of violating these assumptions will be examined. The limitations of regression analysis as a tool of analysis will also be stressed. Emphasis will be on real world examples and practical exercises. Three hours of lecture. Two hours of laboratory. Prerequisite(s): MATH 242 , ECON 301 and ECON 303 with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
