Catalog description
Develops an economic framework to evaluate the effects of taxation on individual behavior and the distribution of income. Addresses subjects such as efficient and equitable taxation, distribution of tax burdens, personal income taxation, the corporate income tax, consumption taxes, the politics of taxation, and state lotteries. Provides the necessary skills to objectively evaluate tax policies. Prerequisite(s): ECON 301 with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
