Catalog description

Examines the overall performance of an economy. Includes inflation, unemployment, interest rates, government taxes and expenditures, money and financial institutions, budget and trade deficits, business cycles, and more. Special attention is paid to contending macroeconomic views (e.g., Keynesian, New Keynesian, New Classical, and Monetarist). Prerequisite(s): ECON 201 and ECON 202 . Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): MATH 132 or MATH 160 .
