Catalog description
Practical experience in professional aspects of dance performance and production. May include development of publicity materials, proposal writing, performance installation, and overall crew duties (including training in light/sound board operation). Subjects(s) are approved by the Dance Studies faculty and supervised by a faculty member or academic advisor. Course meeting times range depending on the subject. As part of the course, students must anticipate a 15- to 30-hour commitment for the practicum. May be repeated for a total of twelve (12) units. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: DNCE 130-10. Prerequisite(s): DNCE 311 , DNCE 390 , DNCE 400 , or DNCE 420 , with a minimum grade of B (3.0); or by consent of instructor/Program Director.
