In-depth discussion of selected subjects in Text Mining with emphasis on the design, implementation and testing of approaches and algorithms in the field. Approaches and algorithms included are the following: Finite-state Automata, Hidden Markov Models, Support Vector Machines, and Conditional Random Fields. Prerequisite(s): CS 571 .
