Catalog description
Introduces students to the principles of computer security, with emphasis on applied encryption, software/system security, and web security. Covers encryption algorithm, access control, authentication, buffer overflow, SQL injection and cross-site scripting attack will be covered. Provides both theoretical and practical knowledge to enhance understanding of computer security issues. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: CS 497-8. Prerequisite(s): CS 433 or CIS 444 .
