Catalog description

A one-semester introduction to the concepts and language of biochemistry. Includes a description of the biochemistry of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and nucleic acids, and an overview of cellular metabolism. Intended for science majors, but not for biochemistry and certain biological sciences majors (consult biological science department). May not be substituted for CHEM 351 and/or CHEM 352 . Prerequisite(s): CHEM 201 with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
