Terrestrial Plant Ecology

Catalog description

Survey of the factors that influence the physiology, distribution, and abundance of land (terrestrial) plants. Focuses on plant ecophysiology, plant population dynamics (e.g., dispersal, germination, and recruitment), plant-plant and plant-animal interactions, and the effects of the abiotic factors (e.g., climate, water, and nutrients) on the structure and function of terrestrial plant communities. BIOL 690 is dual-listed with BIOL 390A . These courses will be taught together by the same instructor. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: BIOL 390A . Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Biological Sciences graduate program.
