Catalog description

Evaluates biological research presented through both oral and written formats. Seminar comprises a combination of guest lectures delivered by research scientists and discussion of primary research papers, and spans the biological disciplines of ecology, physiology, and molecular and cell biology. Graduate students may repeat the course twice for graduation credit. Undergraduates may repeat the course twice but may apply only three (3) units toward a major. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to Biological Sciences and Biotechnology majors. Enrollment for other majors with consent of the instructor. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Biological Sciences graduate program, or grade of C (2.0) or better in at least two (2) of the following courses: BIOL 351 , BIOL 352 , BIOL 353 , BIOL 354 .
