Molecular Methods in Ecology Lab

Catalog description

Uses theoretical and practical applications of modern molecular tools to identify and study ecological relationships. Students work as teams to study molecular processes in plant-soil and plant-insect interactions, soil microbial composition, and insect predator-prey interactions. Teaches how to design experiments, analyze data, and disseminate results in oral and written form. Mandatory periodic field trips. Three hours of laboratory. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: BIOL 597-6 . Prerequisite(s): BIOL 354 or BIOL 351 or enrollment in Biological Science, M.S. program . Corequisite(s): BIOL 516 .
