Catalog description

Provides a foundation in biomedical research and effective communication practices for students preparing for biomedical research careers. Integrates disciplinary approaches to biomedical research around fundamental principles and practices of scientific method, research ethics and responsible conduct, and the organization of scientific inquiry in institutions of higher learning. Subject matter will change each semester. May be repeated, but no more than three (3) units of credit may be applied to the major. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: PSYC 440-5. Cross-listed: BIOL 488 and PSYC 488 are cross-listed. Students may not receive credit for both. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of instructor.
