Catalog description

Overview of human cardiovascular physiology. Strong focus on human physiology, supported by comparative animal models. Taught through combination of lectures and case studies, providing overview of cardiovascular biology, and links between environment, disease and cardiovascular physiology. Includes embryonic cardiovascular development, blood flow, blood pressure, cardiovascular neural regulation, cardiac morphology, hemodynamics, and cardiac disease. BIOL 434 is dual-listed with BIOL 634 . Students may not receive credit for both. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 353 .
