Catalog description

Discusses the biological, physical, and chemical processes affecting marine and freshwater environments, and the interactions among these processes. Emphasis on productivity, nutrient dynamics, food webs, biogeochemical cycles and biogeography of pelagic systems. Concurrent enrollment in BIOL 387L is recommended, but not required. Field trip(s) during or outside of class (including weekends) may be required. Prerequisite(s): For Environmental Biology Minors: BIOL 211 . For Biological Sciences Majors: BIOL 210 and BIOL 211 . Corequisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in BIOL 387L is recommended, but not required .
